Jurong lake park.

Part E

Conclusion
The drastic increase in activities at the Jurong Lake Park has disturbed the natural environment and the biodiversity there. The evidence are, there has been a drastic decrease in the organisms there. The pollution caused by Man are one of the reasons for this decrease. There were also not that much organisms that we can see when we were on our trip to the park.
We think that the park has yet to do enough to conserve the park or spread the message of conserving the park. We say this as there were hardly any signs or posters that remind the park users to throw away their rubbish at the right place. We also heard of no recent events held to raise public awareness on conserving the nature. Thus, without any warning or reminders the park users will take things forgranted and litter at any place they liked.
JTC has put slots for the different sports-activities in the park which would control the heavy flow of users in the park which is a good effort. But other than that we dont see any effort in reducing negative effects of the activities on Jurong Lake Park. Its up to an individual to care about the nature and protect it. Eventhough there are no posters or signs, conserving the nature is whar everybody knows.

Part D

Impact of Man on Jurong Lake Park
Man which visit the park, have an impact on the organisms living there. Their actions can cause great destruction to the forest. Litters that are being thrown in parts of the park like the lake and on the grass can cause great harm to the animals in the park. For example, fish or lizards in the water can be tangled and strangled by the plastics that were thrown in the lake. Furthermore, there are construcion site going on near the park. The muddy water from the construction may cause the lake to be polluted. The polluted water is harmful to the orgnaisms in the lake.
However, the park officials have also tried their best to pick up the litter thrown by the visitors of the park which is a good step.

Part C

Tree Community.
There was not much things we say for treee community but we managed to see some. Tree community is species and organisms living on the tree or which are dependent on the tree for their lives.

Organisms in this community:
 -Fungis
They grow near the trees, they feed on dead plants and organisms.
-Ants
-Bee.
They build their hive at the trees.
etcetc.
The physical factors that the community may depend on are:

Part A:

Introduction of Jurong Lake Park
Jurong Lake is a freshwater lake and reservoir located in the western region of Singapore formed with the damming of Sungei Jurong further downstream. The lake serves as a reservoir contributing to the water supply of the country.

Group Reflection
Eventhough the Sun was right above our heads that day, the journey was full of fun. There were a lot of different types of species in the park. The scenery was captivating. However, there were also a lot of rubbish being thrown in different parts of the park that pose as a danger to the animals. I feel that the trip there was inteesting and there is a lot that we can learn from the trip.
